part i.
Character name: Felicia Bailey
Fandom: OC/London Mysteries
Species (vampire, werewolf, what have you): Human with a touch of witchy blood
Character powers: Felicia, by maternal bloodright, is a dreamseeker, though that simple term is currently still unknown to her. She can enter dreams of other people but only as a bystander, taking bits and pieces of information from the dream, rounding it out into something cohesive, and bringing it back with her into reality, and even then, she has to do a grand ceremony of spellcasting to get into the headspace of the person she's working with using something that belongs to the person. Permission is needed first, then an personal object belonging to the person: a picture, a necklace, even a hairbrush (which kind of finds a loophole in the rules of needing permission if there is hair attached to it) may work for this purpose.
The aftereffects of dreamseeking means that her adventures are usually short and limited in scope, leaving her physically and mentally worn out, much like a beginning athlete trying to do a five mile marathon before they can even make it one mile. The longer she forces herself to stay in a dream, the longer she needs to recuperate in bed and the more likely she is to carry back unwanted thoughts that slip into her subconscious and become her own. If the 'client' has self-esteem issues, they will more easily become Felicia's regardless of how high her own confidence is.
If and when she levels up, she may be able to control these thoughts, get rid of the need for a ceremony, and inspire certain dream related events, but Felicia is still a young Padawan and her skills are really just a patchwork of self-education (translation: she fucks up often and hard.)
Telepaths or anybody with strong control over their mental status can and most likely will knock Felicia out of dreamspace (and probably in her face too) and in contrast, those with mental instability are easier to slip into their dreams, though interpreting their messages is an adventure in itself.
part ii.
1.) Is it acceptable for your character to be mind-controlled or persuaded? How susceptible are they to mind control, hypnotism, or suggestion? Her own mind isn't trained to resist those things so it's still very easy to plant an idea in her head as of this point in time.
2.) Is it acceptable for your character to have their mind read? Does this include traumatic memories? What is their mind like (disturbing, orderly, joyful, surprisingly empty, etc.)? If the character has psychic walls or preventative measures against psychic interference, please explain. Yes. There are no preventative measures, so her thoughts are mostly joyful and fun, full of color, but underneath that, if one looks hard enough, is a hinting that some of it might be faked or overcompensating for something darker.
3.) Are thoughts mentioned in narration acceptable for a telepath to pick up? Yes.
4.) What about emotions, in the case of an empath? What sort of general emotional reading would such a character receive from yours? Yes. In general, jovial feelings, but depending on the subject at hand, it may ring a little false.
5.) Are there any aspects of your character's mind, emotions, or memories you would like to be picked up, mentioned, or used in character? Conversely, is there anything that should not be noticed, or at least never mentioned? Anything is good for being picked up at this moment.
part iii.
1.) Physically speaking, what stands out about your character? Imposing size? Physical scarring? Tattoos? She is very tall for a woman, and sometimes runs head to head with tall men. On the inside of her right wrist, she has a tattoo that reads "Nosce te Ipsum", Know Thyself in Latin.
2.) Is your character immune to any of the following: poisons, chemical agents, telekinetic influence, radiation, or types of illnesses? Nope.
3.) Is your character physiologically different from a human in any way? This can include their blood, skin, hair, et cetera being made up of something unusual or simply differing in construction and durability. She has dreamseeker witch blood in her?
4.) Are you amenable to having your character be harmed in any way? How far are you comfortable with injury to you character going? Does this include being fed on by vampires, willingly or unwillingly? She can be harmed, but let's discuss the hows and whys first.
5.) Is it acceptable for other characters with abilities of shapeshifting or disguise to imitate your character? Does this include ability mimicry? Yep.
part iv.
1.) Can your character's presence or aura be noticed by other characters, and how would it look/feel to them? How would it manifest to a character with no supernatural abilities, if at all? Definitely. Think of it as a gigantic bright lightbulb just walked into a darkened room.
2.) Can your character be affected by magic spells and curses? Yes
3.) Can your character be affected by sin and corruption, and be tempted toward expressing their darker urges (of whatever flavor)? yes
4. What sort of sins is the character prone toward, and how might they best be tempted, if you are interested in such an event? Pride, vanity, maaaaybe greed and a little lust.
5.) Are you amenable to the character receiving prophetic visions, including as part of a plot? Yep.
part v.
1. Is threadjacking allowed? Under what circumstances? Always. Go wild.
2. Is it acceptable for canonmates that are updated further than yours to inform your character of events yours has not yet experienced? Yes.
3. Are there triggering or upsetting topics you would like other characters to avoid mentioning to yours for the sake of continued comfort (racist words, homophobia, self-injury, etc.)? Nope.
4. Are there any additions you would like us to make to this survey? Nope!
